So just who is Paul Irvine?

About Me

paul irvine

I’m sure while I write this, not many people are reading.  I would draw comparison to the lonley DJ who’s playing his songs and talking into the mic at 3am thinking “Is anyone actually listening to this?”

The difference being that I’m hopeful that my blog will draw more and more people and inspire them with the idea of leaving their 9-5 and do Internet Marketing instead.

So who am I you ask?

Well I’m happily married and we both have a lovely wee boy.  I used to work in the IT sector, I started out in 1998 as a hardware technician, ended up as an IT consultant in 2007-2008 when the economy collapsed in on itself.

During my career, I was made redundant no less than 3 times in 5 jobs.  Each time was at the worst possible point imaginable.  First time I had just bought a car, the second time (more serious), my wife and I had just that week bought our house and taken out a mortgage.  The third time I was made redundant was 3 weeks before my wife was due to give birth to our beautiful baby boy.

I’ve suffered  (and to a certain degree, still suffer) from bad depression and anxiety.  The tablets I take to control my mood make me lethargic, sleepy, kill my attention span…all the things you really don’t need to be dealing with when trying to get an online business off the ground.

But, in the last few months, I’ve had some seriously good luck (or fate possibly).  I’ve met some really good people online in the world of Internet Marketing, I won’t embaress them by naming them, but they know who they are, and they have become part of my life as I have became part of theirs.  Most people always laughed at the idea of having a “friend” that you’ve never personally met, yet are able to know them better than some people you have known face to face, what makes them tick and other stuff.

I do class them as true friends, for both the friendship of sharing during our skype conversations, or simple texts passed back and forth on msn or facebook.

If you read my post from yesterday, you will know that I’ve given this Internet Marketing a shot before, I’m not new to the mechanics of how it works.  I just think I was too “zoned out” of life to be any good at it when I first attempted it a few years back.

But I feel a new sense of enthusiasm, knowledge and understanding of not only HOW it works, but also that I feel I can now follow through and actually DO something.

Paul Irvine is on the way back up!

I know of some online (including some of my friends) that are making amounts of money that most of you will believe to be total fabrication because you’ve been conditioned from birth to present day to believe that you need to work for “the man”, have a fear or unsettling discomfort around the idea of working for your own.

It is my plan to not only change your mind from this way of thinking, but to show you that in a relatively short period of time, you can make money online to the extent you won’t know what to do with it all.

I realise that I could be setting myself up for a big fall here, those of you that know me well will already know that I don’t commit to things lightly.  Even moreso the fact I’m blogging every step of this journey as Paul Irvine and not some kind of “alter ego” is an even stronger indicator that I WILL follow through on this, I WILL get my family out of the financial hell hole we’re in just now and get to the point where we’re financially viable again.

It is my full intention to share this journey with you all so that you can learn what it is that I do to accomplish this, and hopefully learn some other stuff on the way there :)

Is Paul Irvine successful just now?

No I’m not, not financially anyway.  But as I write this sitting at my family restaurant the Clippies Fayre, I know without a doubt that this is the beginning of the end of my nightmare.

Glad you enjoyed the read mate :)
Yes it isn’t the simple 10 minutes of work to make thousands of dollars online is it?

It’s a hard job a times, but so rewarding not just in a financial sense, but also getting to talk with so many others such as yourself.
I certainly wouldn’t change anything and It’s good to make contact with another fellow IM’er :)

Best of luck in all you do my friend, and take care.
    Paul.

    Nice Paul!

I’ve known Paul since 2009! And I definitely consider you my friend even though we haven’t met and only talk every now and then!

You are definitely one persistent kind of guy and you can never fail if you don’t give up =).

You MADE it mentally already. Focus on the actions and you will be there financially before you know it!

Congrats Paul. It’s nice to see you still at it!!

Congrats on the WSO too!! I may buy a copy ;) .

      Hi Matt,
One of the first marketers I met online when I began this journey, and yes, definitely someone I also class as a friend.
Mate, I was a dog clenching on to the bone for dear life. I knew that if I DIDNT make this work, it was back to the corporate 9-5 nonsense, and there was NO WAY that was on the cards :)
You were a driving force behind me sticking at this in the begining mate, and I thank you for being there then, it really helped my mindset.
Thanks for the kind words, and here’s to both our success and plenty of happy customers as well!

      Paul.
